Rock Falls Rotary Supports Literacy Project to First Grade Students

 

Brenda Fiorini, teacher at Rock Falls High School and author of several children's books concerning humane treatment to animals, shared with members of the Rock Falls Rotary her first book, Rescue Puppy, which is being translated into Spanish for distribution next semester to every first grade student in Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside Counties. In the years of past distribution to first grade students and teachers, over 7,000 books have been made available to students and teachers. This year Rock Falls Rotary has assisted with the cost of publishing and distribution.
