Shaw Shares Finland Exchange Experience

Rock Falls Rotarians Mark Young and President Bob Sondgeroth (left to right) are holding boots made from reindeer skin which Kaylene Shaw, a Rotary Exchange Student to Finland in 2009 – 2010, brought back as a souvenir. Kaylene wears a hat typical from the Lapland. She shared her year abroad and the culture of the Finnish people in a program for the Rock Falls Rotary Club. Since her year as an exchange student, she has returned once to her host families in Finland, and plans to return on an internship soon again.
